As OKX continues to grow and deepen our presence around the world, my commitment — and our company’s commitment — to compliance has never been stronger. That’s why I’m excited to welcome Jonathan Brockmeier as our new Chief Compliance Officer.
Jonathan brings an exceptional track record in global regulatory leadership, deep expertise in financial compliance, and a clear vision for building a world-class compliance organization. I’m confident his experience and perspective will be instrumental as we enter our next phase of growth and continue setting the standard for trust, transparency, and accountability in our industry.
Jonathan joins OKX from fintech start-up Zepz, where he led a global compliance team responsible for strategy, second-line risk and governance, market expansion, and regulatory compliance.
Prior to Zepz, Jonathan established the Americas compliance function for Thunes, a Singapore-based fintech unicorn, where he designed and implemented regulatory frameworks supporting US, Canadian, Mexican, and broader Latin American market expansion. He also held Chief Compliance Officer roles at Quberu and World First and advised Arcus, a Mastercard company, on regulatory strategy.
At OKX, we view compliance as not just a necessity — but a core part of how we operate and innovate responsibly. With Jonathan on board, I’m confident we’ll continue to lead by example, strengthen our global relationships with regulators, and reinforce the integrity of everything we build.
At the same time, we’d like to share that Vanessa Zhang will be leaving OKX. We are grateful for her contributions and wish her all the best in her next chapter.
Please join me in welcoming Jonathan to the team and thanking Vanessa for her contributions.
