October was a month of expansion through efficiency for @Optimism:

▫️ 1.9M avg. daily transactions (+52%)
▫️ 21.9 TPS avg. (+52%)
Optimism processed nearly 60 million transactions in a single month, marking one of its strongest performance periods to date.
2/ User Activity
▫️ 758K avg. daily active addresses (−51%)
Despite fewer daily participants, the network handled more than twice the transactions, suggesting a consolidation of activity — power users and dApps executing more onchain logic per account.
A smaller crowd, but a far more active one.
3/ Gas Efficiency
▫️ Total gas used: 20.46T (−6.3% vs Sept)
▫️ Avg gas used per block: −9.3%
▫️ Avg gas price: ~1.19×10⁻¹¹ ETH (stable, +0.5%)
Even with 57% more transactions, Optimism consumed less total gas: the drop in gas usage per block and per transaction suggests lighter, optimized contracts and a growing share of low-cost rollup operations.
